China-ASEAN Electric Vehicle Standardization Capability Building Seminar Held in Guangzhou 2025

The China-ASEAN Electric Vehicle Standardization Capability Building Seminar was successfully held in Guangzhou from March 3 to 7, 2025. The event brought together 45 representatives from ASEAN member states and the ASEAN Secretariat. The five-day event includes 12 training sessions on electric vehicle standards and testing technologies, deepening China-ASEAN cooperation in automotive standardization, and promoting shared prosperity of the automotive industry.

The seminar aimed to provide technical training for ASEAN participants on New Energy Vehicle (NEV) standards and related testing technologies, with the goal of enhancing standardization cooperation between China and ASEAN. By fostering deeper integration in the regional NEV industry, the program seeks to deliver tangible benefits to enterprises and consumers across participating countries.

This seminar was funded by the ASEAN-China Cooperation Fund (ACCF) and marks the first economic and technical cooperation project in the field of standards under the framework of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).
