ACCF Management Team

Background

ASEAN-China Cooperation Fund (ACCF) was launched in 1997, with the aim to fund activities in promoting cooperation between ASEAN and China in areas such as agriculture, ITC, HRD, mutual investment, Mekong River Basin Development, trade, tourism, transport linkage, education, science and technology, and environment, including but not limited to conducting of seminars, personnel training, and exchange of visits and other functional areas.

Overview of AMT Role

ACCF Management Team (AMT), ACCF Management team manages and operates the ACCF in reviews the implementation of ACCF-supported programmes, projects, and its related activities. ASEAN and the government of People’s Republic of China agreed to set up the ACCF Management Team (AMT) at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, Indonesia. To enhance the effective of utilization of the fund in supporting ASEAN Community-building and integration efforts. One of the key roles of AMT is to assist proponents in formulating and reviewing project proposals, including inputs on financial and procedural matters, in close coordination with the Government of People’s Republic of China and desk officers of the ASEAN Secretariat. Over the past decades, ACCF has funded over 300 of projects and programmes between ASEAN and China and has been playing a significant role in enhancing functional cooperation between ASEAN and China in various fields.

The AMT commenced operations from Sept 2, 2019. AMT is completed phase 1. (September 2019 to August 2022) Currently, AMT is on Phase 2. (September 2022 to August 2027).

The AMT office is located on the 4th Fl. of the Heritage Building of the ASEAN Secretariat, Jakarta, Indonesia.
