Brief History of Project

This project focused on localisation of the SDGs and poverty eradication. With some emphasis on poverty eradication, the project aimed to elaborate further strategies to localise the SDGs which share complementarities with the ASEAN Vision 2025.
There are some strategic measures in the ASCC Blueprint 2025 that are relevant and to which this project contributes to addressing.
They include the following:

  • Promote partnership frameworks and guidelines in engaging the stakeholders for the effective implementation of ASEAN initiatives and promotion of public awareness of ASCC programmes and accomplishments.

  • Promote continuous efforts toward multi-dimensional poverty eradication through multi sectoral, multi-stakeholder and community-based approaches.
  • Promote local communities’ resilience by integrating principles of resilience in risk reduction, preparedness, response, recovery, and rehabilitation measures.
  • Provide opportunities for relevant stakeholders for knowledge sharing, which include exchange of best practices and studies.
